Applied Research Laboratories is a dynamic R&D organization of The University of Texas at Austin, and a leader in R&D for advanced signal processing algorithms and underwater sonar systems.

As a university laboratory, ARL:UT is committed to excellence in its contributions to education, research and public service. ARL:UT is constantly looking for students in fields of engineering, mathematics, computer science and physics. Job title and rate of pay will be commensurate with the qualifications of the person selected. Job positions are located at the J.J. Pickle Research Campus (PRC) in northwest Austin. All positions are security sensitive, and U.S. Citizenship is required.

STUDENT RESEARCH ASSISTANT positions available in the Sonar Development Division.

Particular areas of interest include C++ software development, signal and image processing, and embedded systems. Real-time processing and multiprocessor programming are also of interest. Experience with Linux, scientific Python, revision control systems, and issue tracking systems are also helpful. We would also consider applicants for analog and digital circuit design and testing, and FPGA development.
